'Call of Duty' for Vita is Coming This Fall
Mon Feb 20, 2012 at 12:30 PM ETTags: Call of Duty Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Call of Duty, PlayStation Vita (all tags)
There's no word yet on just what we can expect to see from the game.
Well of course there's going to be a 'Call of Duty' game for Vita. If one of the most popular franchises around wasn't released for a system, it would be downright shocking.
Guy Longworth, the senior VP of marketing for PlayStation, says that 'Call of Duty' will be coming to the Vita "this autumn" but doesn't elaborate as far as what title. The Vita is the best looking handheld on the market now and it's crazy powerful, so the big question is whether this will be a Vita specific game or a slightly watered down - graphically anyway - version of the same 'Call of Duty' the HD consoles are getting.
A fall launch window means we'll be finding out more about it at E3 for sure, but hopefully some info will come sooner than that. A major title that will use the twin-stick configuration to the fullest? We're excited.
