Nintendo introduced these adapters along with the GameCube Controller - Super Smash Bros. Edition just prior to E3 and had them playable at the show. So far, the simple twin USB cables to four port GameCube controller adapter has only been shown and used with Super Smash Bros., but other applications seem likely.
