HD tweaks, optional Magic Booster, and even Chocobo World.

Joining 'Final Fantasy VII' on PC through Steam is the revamped the 'Final Fantasy VIII.' Players can return to Galbadia and the adventures of Squall with a feature set worthy of PC update. Priced at $12, 'Final Fantasy VIII' is being re-released with achievements, cloud saves, a difficulty smoothing Magic Booster, and most intriguing of all the Pocket Station originating Chocobo World.

From Square Enix, "This updated version of Final Fantasy VIII has received a few tweaks since its release back in 1999; it’s been optimised for modern HD PCs and fully integrated with the Steam platform, including a range of new features such as a Magic Booster which enables players to power up their spells (and max out your character, if you know what you’re doing). When the Magic Booster is used, your inventory of the following spells is increased by 100: Cure, Cura, Curaga, Fire, Fira, Blizzard, Blizzara, Thunder, Thundara, Sleep, Blind, Silence, Berserk, Bio, Esuna, Aero, Confuse, Break, and Zombie. Junction those spells to your character’s stats and you’re pretty much invincible! Which is somewhat useful for those looking to replay game but don’t want to spend time grinding for high levels."
