What happens in Vegas moves to San Francisco the year after.
PlayStation Experience is back for another year, Sony confirmed, as the entire expo moves to San Francisco for the weekend of December 5–6, 2015.
The original PlayStation Experience kicked off late last year in Las Vegas, an extension of Sony's existing celebration of PlayStation's 20th anniversary. After the success of the original, it looks like Sony is trying to turn this into an annual convention.
If last year's showing was any indication, expect plenty of game announcements, first-look trailers, and industry panels from this event. You can also expect the whole thing—or at least the important bits—to be livestreamed for those of us who can't make it to the West Coast.
For those who are interested in going in person, Sony is offering a special early-bird price for a two-day pass, $60, which is valid until Sept. 20. After that, the price goes up to $75 for two days. Saturday-only passes can be purchased for $45, and Sunday passes run $40. Sony advises attendees to register with their PSN IDs when purchasing tickets. They won't say why, but it'll probably net those who do some extra freebies.
