A New 'Pikmin' Game Releases on 3DS in 2017

The new 'Pikmin' adventure is a sidescroller.
Nintendo ended their September 1st Nintendo Direct with the announcement of a brand new 'Pikmin' game for Nintendo 3DS. Unlike previous titles, the handheld game will be a sidescrolling adventure. Key mechanics return from previous games, though, as Captain Olimar will toss and throw Pikmin to defeat enemies and solve puzzles.
An official title for what is temporarily being called 'Pikmin for Nintendo 3DS' was not given, but Nintendo did reveal that it will release in 2017. Check out the trailer below to see the game in action!
'Pikmin for Nintendo 3DS' releases in 2017. The last title in the series was 'Pikmin 3,' which released for Wii U in 2013.
