'Tank Troopers' Features Six Player Online Play on 3DS

A multiplayer-focused Nintendo title.

One of the biggest surprises from today's Nintendo Direct was that Nintendo is putting out a tank combat game. Called 'Tank Troopers,' the Nintendo 3DS title will allow players to control superpowered tanks. Paintballs, electric shocks and skills that freeze opponents are all available in this multiplayer shooter.

It will support up to six players, and will feature local and online multiplayer. The Nintendo eShop exclusive will release "this holiday season."

'Tank Troopers' made its debut at 10 minutes and 17 seconds into the Nintendo Direct, which you can watch below:

The downloadable title is set to release this holiday season for Nintendo 3DS.
