Sony's big shot.
Nearly every day, console owners are treated with returning hits from past generations. But there are games that stand above the rest. Such games can be within Naughty Dog's PS4 bound 'Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.' Each game in the collection is its own collection of ground-breaking action-pieces and genre-defining story-telling, but the collection brings it all together in a way that highlights the special attributes.
Leading up to the fourth game, there is drama in the story, and there is a set of roguish characters that are going to be fun to revisit on the PS4.
Blue Point Games (of the 'Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection' and 'Ico & Shadow of Colossus' fame), is doing the work of bringing these games together for the PS4, and it's reasonable to expect a good and authentic job. There is going to be a playable demo on PSN prior to the October 9th release date.
The collection will run in 1080p, and the framerate will float around 60fps. Visually, character models, lighting, particle effects, and environment textures are all being given some TLC to fit the new resolution. In terms of gameplay, veteran players can expect some tweaks and light fixes. In the case of the 'Drake's Fortune,' the changes are likely to be the most obvious.
As a reminder, those who pick up 'Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection' will receive access to the 'Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End' multiplayer beta. Beta access has been described as exclusive to this offer. (Order here.)
