Newest 'Battleborn' Trailer Assures You That You Will Die

Classic villain stuff.

A new trailer for Gearbox's first-person, MOBA-esque 'Battleborn' introduces players to villain Lothar Rendain in the only way a man like Rendain knows how: a classic villain monologue.

The trailer shows off snippets of gameplay featuring gun-toting, melee, and magical characters, but it mostly focuses on giving Rendain his turn in the spotlight. Rendain gives players a little rundown of the game's main story, where the many player factions are fighting an alien force over the fate of the universe's last star. Throughout the trailer, it's easy to see that the same sense of humor that made the 'Borderlands' series so popular is making its return to Gearbox's next original franchise.

'Battleborn' is set to launch for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 9.
