Critically acclaimed Xbox exclusive getting enhanced re-release.
This week at Gamescom, Moon Studios let slip that they're planning a definitive edition of 'Ori and the Blind Forest for release this holiday.
This is no mere uptick in graphical quality like some, however, though there is new artwork being incorporated, but a full-on expansion, taking fan feedback and many critics' (admittedly minor) quibbles into account.
"We spent a lot of time to really read a lot about what people had to say about the original game — what they liked, what they maybe didn't like — and we really want to address all of the bigger points about the game," said Moon Studios co-founder Gennediy Korol in an interview with Xbox Europe
"We [are] actually adding a lot of new content, such as new areas, which are going to be using new mechanics and actually quite new, exciting artwork, and will have potentially new abilities."
Before you go punching your Xbox hard drive in frustration about having to buy the game again, remain calm: Moon Studios responded to the worries on Facebook stating current owners will be able to upgrade "at a comfortable price." And exhale.
