As we have stated many time before, anyone jumping from the old 'Rock Band' (or 'Guitar Hero') games on the 360 to the new 'Rock Band 4,' the Legacy Controller Adapter is a must. (On the PlayStation side, no such adapter is necessary.)
Since Xbox One needs this adapter in order for players to use their old 360 instruments, buying an adapter plus disc bundle makes sense. That bundle can be ordered here for $79.99. The full list of compatible Xbox 360 controllers/instruments can be found here.
Another popular option is to get the digital version of the game and a Legacy Game Controller Adapter separately. That adapter is back in stock at Amazon for preorder for $24.99. (Preorder here.) Unfortunately, the $15 off promo code "RB4ADAPTER" is no longer active. These adapters have been such a hot option that Amazon is limiting purchasing to one per account.
