Additionally, one final beta hits this month.
Capcom has announced today that the story mode of 'Street Fighter V' will be handled very differently from previous entries. In addition to the standard character stories which will be available when the game launches, there will also be a Cinematic Story Mode involving the entire cast that'll make heavy use of cutscenes to tell the story of what happened between 'SFIV' and 'SFIII'. The Cinematic Story Expansion will be made available as a free update to the game in June. You can catch a story for the mode below:
Capcom has also announced that the game will see no day one DLC of any kind, likely meaning that unless/until they show up later on, the preorder costumes will likely remain exclusive to preorder customers. Additionally, there will be one final beta starting January 30 at 12:01 AM PT, and ending on January 31st at 7PM PT, it'll be the last chance to play the game before its release on February 16th.
I'm really excited for SFV, personally. It looks fantastic, and while it's odd that the full story mode will only arrive in June, it's doing something no other entry in the series has attempted, which is nice to see. For those interested in the game, we previously took a look at some of the Mad Catz fightsticks and controllers that'll be released to coincide with the game, you can check that out here.
