This is Halloween: See How Halloween Unfolds in 'Hide and Shriek'

Scare your way to victory.

As tempting as it is for me to dismiss 'Hide and Shriek' as a game for streamers, 'Hide and 'Shriek' has proved its worth. (See the review here.)

And with this being Halloween, why not spend a moment pointing out one of the few smaller PC games of late that actually delivers on its concept.

'Hide and Shriek' is multiplayer only, and its 1v1 gameplay challenges players to not simply scare their friends. Rather, it's the fear of competition that ought to be used. These traps and pop-up frights are the tools of the winning side.

While I think 'Hide and Shriek' is a perfect Halloween diversion, I'm betting that it'll be an even better diversion come Thanksgiving and into the holiday month at the end of the year. ('Hide and Shriek' is on sale for $4.79 on Steam, see here.)
