Save yourself a lot of time and hassle later.
The rock is nigh: 'Rock Band 4' is hitting this coming Tuesday. And while you may have the guitars, the drums, and the adapters, the final piece has been missing: the music. And Harmonix has announced that the time has come to fix that.
As of this very moment, all transferable 'Rock Band' DLC can be downloaded from your current-gen digital storefront of choice. The biggest catch to all this is that due to the limitations of said storefronts, tracks must be downloaded one at a time. Sorry, anybody hoping to just set up a full album download in two clicks then walk away. But, then, you have a full three days to sift through the tracks and download your favorites before launch, everything will still be available after that, and Harmonix have written up pretty explicit instructions on how to find it all. No rush.
Where you DO want to maybe get a move on is buying any new DLC you want. All DLC has been 50% off for a couple of years now, and the gravy train will officially end on the 6th, when 'Rock Band 4' is officially out in the wild, and all DLC goes back up to being $2 a pop. Future DLC, of course, will be following suit.
As a friendly reminder, of course, the DLC is console-family locked. 360 DLC must be downloaded on Xbox One, PS3 DLC onto PS4. Start tuning up the band, folks.
