New gameplay footage and interview shown.
Stephen Colbert's had a stellar couple of weeks hosting the 'Late Show' and a diverse array of guests from every part of the political, social, and entertainment spectrums. So, while 'No Man's Sky' co-creator Sean Murray showing up on, say, Jimmy Kimmel might've seemed a bit weird (and probably, Kimmel would've come off like even more of an idiot about games than usual), he's right at home chatting it up with a legitimately fascinated Colbert.
in the segment Colbert starts off with the obvious--no, there's still no release date--and dives right in with some actual gameplay, albeit enhanced with a button allowing instantaneous jumps between planets. We get new animals, environments, and a look at the naming/discovery mechanic once again. Somewhere in the vast infinity of 'No Man's Sky', there is a Colbert System to visit. And that's delightful.
Check out the full segment below. Then incessantly bug Sean Murray for a scanning gun that says "MINE!" when you use it.
