Master Chief is dead; long live Master Chief.
Microsoft have made a short, but pretty great commercial for 'Halo 5', which will run during Sunday's 'Fear The Walking Dead' finale, in which Chief is being hunted down through a city being demolished by the rise of...something...beneath the streets, all while an invisible narrator gives the rundown on where exactly the public will stand on Chief, and the truth, which is the fact that for reasons still unknown, he's been branded a traitor, and Spartan Locke has been sent to erase him permanently.
'Halo' fanatics have had their first taste of this side of the story from their ongoing ARG, and the Hunt The Truth podcast (which is surprisingly compelling stuff, if you havent heard it already). But its one thing to hear the peripheral story, another to see and hear it in action. if you were looking for a reason to play Halo 5 outside of its much-ballyhooed multiplayer, this might be all the convincing you need.
