Hey they're still booing.
Where 'Guitar Hero Live' gets the "Live" part of its name is from the live action/captured crowd and band that react as you play... and if you play badly they boo, hard. They throw stuff. The bandmates toss intense hate stares and the crowd brings out cardboard signs letting you know you suck.
All of this motivation is touched on in the game's new ad, which has James Franco and Lenny Kravitz learning the ropes.
I played quite a bit of the 'Guitar Hero Live' (see here), and I can confirm that seeing the crowd and band mates turn on the player is indeed entertaining.
'Guitar Hero Live' is set to be released later this month (October 20th in NA, October 23rd in Europe) for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, Wii U and select mobile devices. The console versions are up for preorder for $99.99.
