'Rock Band 4' launches tomorrow (though it has already shown up a few places in the wild), and with it comes the resurrection of a genre. Not only is this first 'Rock Band' (or similar game really) to be featured on the PS4 and Xbox One, but Harmonix has promised that this will be the only 'Rock Band' of this generation. The game is set to receive several post-release updates, including as announced breakneck speed.
On top of that, 'Rock Band 4' supports backwards compatibility system to system from the 360 to Xbox One and PS3 to PS4. That means most of the old instruments and DLC can be used with 'Rock Band 4' in the same system family.

Since the Xbox One needs an adapter in order for players to use their old 360 instruments, buying an adapter plus disc bundle makes sense for many players. That bundle can be ordered here for $79.99.
