Plenty of frenemies and striaght up monsters will be there.
Next week, the first expansion for CD Projekt RED's immensely successful 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' (review here), 'Hearts of Stone,' will be released. Today, CD Projekt RED dropped a new trailer that completely sets up the story for this "10 hour" expansion. Frankly, considering the characters on-hand, and the dramatic flair in play, it seems certain that 'Witcher 3' veterans will need to devour 'Hearts of Stone.'
In 'Hearts of Stone,' Geralt will take on Olgierd von Everec, and in so doing, will have to make plenty of uneasy alliances. 'Hearts of Stone' is not only promised as having 10 hours of new content, new characters, romance options, monsters, and a new storyline, the expansion will also introduce a new Runeword system.
Runewords will allow players another way to decide how they'll play.
'Hearts of Stone' is included with the Expansion Pass, and will also be offered as a single add-on for $9.99. CD Projekt RED has announced a special, limited boxed edition of 'Hearts of Stone' that will include a digital code for the expansion along with two physical decks of Qwent.
This boxed edition will be priced at $19.99. For any expansion pass owners that are interested in the decks, CD Projekt RED has a system in place to allow expansion pass owners to buy the decks seperately ($9.99) via this web site.
The second expansion pack, 'Blood and Wine,' is expected for 2016.
