'Deserve's Got Nothin' To Do With It: New Trailer For 'Walking Dead: Michonne's Finale[teaser]Hoo boy.[/teaser] Telltale have released a tense, blood-pumping trailer for 'What We Deserve', next week's finale of 'Walking Dead: Michonne'. Folks who've been playing the game so far have one hell of a conclusion to look forward to, with Norma's people arriving at Michonne's current safe haven, and finding one of the uglier scenes of the series on their hands. Of course, the stakes are probably immensely higher depending on how you played 'Give No Shelter's final moments, and I think it's a fair bet Norma will be....responsive...to the news. The finale drops next Tuesday, April 26th, on Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, and PC. Brace yourself. Source: Telltale Games (via Youtube)Posted Thu Apr 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM PDT by: -

Platinum Games CEO Resigns[teaser]Stepped down at the end of March.[/teaser] Today, it has been announced via a report on gamebusiness.jp that Platinum Games CEO and President Tatsuya Minami resigned from his position at the end of March. Kenichi Sato has been appointed as his successor. Additionally, Seigo Tabira and producer Atsushi Inaba have been appointed as company directors. No reason was given for Minami's departure. Platinum Games will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year, Tatsuya Minami had previously spoken optimistically about the company's future, and I'm sure that the studio is still is extremely capable hands. This year will see the release of 'Star Fox Zero', 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan' and 'Nier Automata', all of which involve the studio in some capacity. Launch Trailer For 'Hitman' Episode Two Goes Completely Mad[teaser]Need more maniacal laugh, tbh.[/teaser] The second episode of the great episodic 'Hitman' experiment hits this coming Tuesday, and Io has decided to remind us with one last trailer before launch, showing off some of the beautiful Mediterranean climate, beautiful architecture, and oh by the way there's a complete megalomaniacal psychopath babbling on about eugenics somewhere in there. The next target in the beautiful village of Sapienza is a guy with eugenics on the brain that Agent 47 will need to air out with a bullet or twelve. We get a minor hint that 47 will need to trade in his usual suit for hazmat casual, but that's all we get till the episode drops. Have a look. Parry Into a New Stance: Combat Options on the Mars of 'The Technomancer'[teaser]And don't forget stealth.[/teaser] Spiders Studios' 'The Technomancer' is squarely on my radar, and today's look into the combat and overall gameplay is extremely promising. We're talking about choosing how to fight, how to attack a mission, and how to shape a character, and all within a wonderful mash-up of sci-fi, fantasy, and the red planet. If the combat feels as good as it looks, and if the world is multi-layered, then this should be an excellent RPG. (And on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC no less.) Those who have played Spiders Studios previous game, 'Bound By Flame' (review here), can expect 'The Technomancer' to be a big step up. You can find the latest info on 'The Technomancer' linked from our Video Game Release Schedule. Source: Focus InteractivePosted Wed Apr 20, 2016 at 12:59 PM PDT by: -
'Metroid Prime: Federation Force' Launching in August[teaser]You can also check it out at PAX East.[/teaser] 'Metroid Prime: Federation Force' will be launching on August 19th in the US and September 2nd in Europe. Additionally, the game has been delayed from June to August in Japan, with Nintendo citing the game needing balance adjustments, so the delay speaks positively for the game once it launches in the West, as it's rare to see a developer be so upfront about a game's delay. The co-op shooter will also be playable at PAX East this weekend, for those looking to get a taste in before the final game hits. Here's hoping for the best with 'Federation Force'. Even though I'm not personally interested, I hope that it ends up good. Source: NintendoPosted Wed Apr 20, 2016 at 09:21 AM PDT by: -

After a 10 Year Run Like No Other, the Xbox 360 is Going Out of Production[teaser]A continued life on the Xbox One.[/teaser] While a thirst for new hardware is causing tremors in the industry, Microsoft has, in an announcement today, closed the door on their most successful console to date. "Close the door" might not be the right term. What is happening is that after more than 10 years in production, new 360 consoles will no longer be produced. This leave the remaining stock available to sell for a time. Likewise, the ever-growing backwards compatibility of the Xbox One will also serve to keep the 360 alive to a degree. The reasoning cited to end production of the console includes "the realities of manufacturing a product over a decade old are starting to creep up on us." While new 360s will, by and by, become hard to impossible to buy, current 360 owners and players can expect a great degree of continuing support via: Xbox 360 owners will continue to receive Xbox Live services for their console, such as online multiplayer gaming and parties, access to the apps they use today, and Games with Gold and Deals with Gold. Xbox Live servers that support Xbox 360 services will also remain online and active. Our Xbox 360 fans can continue to play their favorite games with the full support of Xbox Live. Gamers will also be able to continue to buy over 4,000 Xbox 360 games or Xbox 360 accessories at retail and through our Xbox 360 store online, while supplies last. Any Xbox 360 hardware will still be supported at xbox.com/support. And Xbox One owners will be able to continue to enjoy available Xbox 360 games through Xbox One Backward Compatibility – at no additional cost. Indeed, as long as 360 owners continue to subscribe to Xbox Live and buy digital 360 titles, Microsoft is well-motivated to keep up all of this digital support. Of course, the debut of the Xbox One two and half years ago really put a stop to my own personal use of the 360. Many of exceptions, from 'Rock Band' to 'Gears of War' have been incorporated on other platforms. ('Forza' is now a Xbox One/PC franchise! Even so, my Elite is still hooked up and ready for action. It's only failure was back during the 'Mass Effect 2' launch.) None of that changes the enduring impact of the platform. From big franchises to XBLA darlings, to Xbox Live, online chat, HD-DVD, flash drive support, an evolving OS, the prevalence of the 360 controller (especially on PC), and the eventual cheap access to the 360 platform, and so on, the Xbox 360 has had a dramatic and unforgettable effect on the industry. Even things like the Kinect, RRoD, XNA, etc. will continue to be felt for years to come. Source: Xbox WirePosted Wed Apr 20, 2016 at 08:39 AM PDT by: -
'Shadow Complex Remastered' Coming to PS4 & Steam This May[teaser]ChAIR & Epic's 360 gem returns.[/teaser] Back in 2009, the Unreal 3 powered 'Shadow Complex' was a big XBLA hit. And now, come May 3rd, Epic and Chair Entertainment's 'Shadow Complex Remastered' will be released on PS4 and Steam. This will be the first time the game has appeared on a PlayStation platform in any form. 'Shadow Complex Remastered' features the original game but with: - Up-rezzed characters, enemies, environments, and interface - Updated lighting, post-processing, and visual effects - New contextual melee take-downs - New Achievements and Master Challenges The game is very 2.5D, but the shooting mechanics do work very well within the metroidvania template. I personally recommend avoiding the highest difficulty in spite of the promised XP bonus. Source: Epic GamesPosted Wed Apr 20, 2016 at 07:21 AM PDT by:
