'Picross 3D Round 2' Is Out Today on 3DS[teaser]Free demo is "coming soon."[/teaser] The latest game in the 'Picross' puzzle series is coming to North America, and it's out today! During the September 1st Nintendo Direct, the Japanese publisher announced that 'Picross 3D Round 2' would receive a Nintendo eShop release, and that it will come out later today. The puzzle game has amiibo support, and came out in Japan last year. 'Picross 3D Round 2' will cost $29.99 on the eShop. A free demo for players to try before they buy is "coming soon." 'Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World' Hits 3DS in February 2017[teaser]Includes all levels from the Wii U game alongside plenty of new features.[/teaser] Today, Nintendo has announced that they will be bringing a new version of 'Yoshi's Woolly World' to 3DS next year with 'Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World'. The game is an expanded port of the original, containing all the levels from the Wii U game as well as all-new stages that see players controlling Poochy, Yoshi's canine companion. Additionally, Poochy Pups will be in the game as helpers who can find hidden items. The game will also include 30 stop-motion shorts from animation studio Dwarf, showing the daily lives of Yoshi and Poochy. Additionally, Nintendo will be selling a Yarn Poochy amiibo on its own, and part of a bundle that'll be available when the game launches on February 3rd, 2017. 'Super Mario Maker' Heading to 3DS in December[teaser]Minus the online features.[/teaser] During today's Nintendo Direct, the studio announced that they will be bringing a version of their Wii U hit 'Super Mario Maker' to 3DS on December 2nd. It packs in all of the level editing functions from the original game, though this edition is primarily focused on local play and streetpass, and as a result, stages cannot be shared online. 'Pool Nation VR' Coming to PS4 This October[teaser]It'll be one of the first PlayStation VR titles.[/teaser] Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit have announced today that 'Pool Nation VR' is coming to PlayStation VR. While no exact release date was given, the developers stated that it will release "this October." That means the billiards simulation will be out either as a launch title for PSVR (October 13th) or shortly afterwards. The virtual reality pool game was previously only available on the HTC Vive, and even allowed players to play darts. The PS4 version of 'Pool Nation VR' will also add a new feature into the mix: multiplayer hangouts. These sessions will let up to eight players relax while shooting pool. While no video of the PS4 version has been released yet, this launch trailer for the PC release will give players a good idea of what to expect out of virtual reality pool. "Playing pool in VR feels just like breaking balls in real life," said Perilous Orbit CEO Richard Kidd. "You get to look around the table, line-up your shot with just the right angle as you would in your local pool hall." 'Hitman: The Complete First Season' Hits Store Shelves January 2017[teaser]Agent 47 arrives early next year.[/teaser] Io-Interactive has announced that 'Hitman: The Complete First Season' will release January 31st, 2017. The physical release will cost $59.99, and will include all of the locations and episodes from the first season of the stealth game. Those who wait will also get some exclusive content such as three bonus missions ('The Icon,' 'A House Built on Sand, and 'Landslide'), the game's soundtrack, and a behind-the-scenes documentary. "The disc combines everything we have learned, refined and updated over the course of a 10 month live season," said Io-Interactive Studio Head Hannes Seifert. "It’s the direct result of live input, development and feedback from our players. We also added loads of additional downloadable bonus content to release on the 31st of January for everyone getting this beautiful edition of the game on a disc and everybody owning the digital Full Experience or upgraded versions of the game." PlayStation Plus September Games: 'Journey,' 'Lords of the Fallen,' 'Badland' & More[teaser]Other titles include 'Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands,' and 'Amnesia: Memories.'[/teaser] Sony has announced what games PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive next month, and it includes a title that won multiple game of the year awards. The two PS4 titles in September are thatgamecompany's 'Journey,' and 'Lords of the Fallen,' an action RPG developed by Deck 13 Interactive. 'Journey' originally released on PS3 in 2012 and garnered widespread critical acclaim. Meanwhile, PlayStation 3 owners will get Ubisoft's 'Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands' and Plastic Group's interactive play 'Datura.' Finally, the Vita games include mobile hit 'Badland' (which is also available on PS4 and PS3) and the visual novel 'Amnesia: Memories.' It's a solid month for all three platforms. 'The Bunker' Is a FMV Horror Game Coming to Consoles in September[teaser]PS4 and Xbox One owners will get to experience full motion scares.[/teaser] Wales Interactive's Ben Tester announced on the PlayStation Blog that the UK studio has been working with Splendy Games on a live action horror game called 'The Bunker.' The psychological thriller, which comes out in September for PS4 and Xbox One, stars Adam Brown, who appeared in 'The Hobbit' trilogy as Oni. Other actors include Sarah Greene, Jerome St. John Blake and Grahame Fox. Players assume the role of John, a 30 year-old who was born in a secret government bunker while bombs fell on July 3rd, 1986. As the last survivor, his typical day-to-day routine is repetitive, but it's disrupted once an alarm is triggered. John then goes to discover more of the bunker he knows as home. 'Conga Master' Will Have PC Owners Dancing Next Month[teaser]Find out what characters will be dancing.[/teaser] Developer Undercoders has been working on a rhythm game, and it's releasing September 14th on PC. Called 'Conga Master,' the game has players travelling to different nightclubs to start conga lines. They'll have to make sure the line stays orderly (and avoids disco dancers) by making sure the dancing maintains momentum. 'Conga Master' features over 30 separate dancers in the game, and each will have their own dancing stats (after all, no two people dance alike). Besides a single-player mode, the PC title will also have local cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Publisher Rising Star Games will be showing off the rhythm game at PAX West, so those attending can dance their way to booth #114 in the north hall to play it. Check Out 'RIGS Mechanized Combat League's Career Mode[teaser]Watch the trailer![/teaser] While online play is the focus in Guerrilla Cambridge's PlayStation VR launch title 'RIGS Mechanized Combat League,' the arena shooter will feature a career mode for players to play by themselves. Players will pilot large mechs called Rigs in the single-player mode and will work together with a team of AI pilots. Successful play will unlock additional Rigs to play as (there are 24 to unlock), and players will even be able to obtain in-game sponsorship deals in the mode. 'Enter the Gungeon' Receives Free 'Supply Drop Update' This Fall[teaser]New rooms and weapons coming to PC and PS4.[/teaser] Dodge Roll Games have announced that a free update for 'Enter the Gungeon' will release this fall on PC. The 'Supply Drop Update' will come to PS4 shortly afterwards, and will reveal the pasts for Robot and Bullet. There are over 100 new rooms for players to explore, and a new boss fight, the Mine Flayer, is included. Most importantly, it introduces the Bullet Gun which is "a gun shaped like a bullet that shoots guns and those guns shoot bullets." While the update won't be out until later this year, it'll be playable at PAX West this weekend. If you're attending the show, you can check it out at Booth 2343.
