First-Person Adventure Game 'De-Void' Releases Today on PC[teaser]From the studio behind 'Solarix.'[/teaser] Pulsetense Games' second title releases today exclusively on PC. Called 'De-Void,' it's a first-person adventure game that has the player controlling a cyborg named Wilco. Space stations, alien forests and colony settlements are all explored while figuring out what happened to a missing space colony crew that mysteriously disappeared. 'De-Void' is the second game from Pulsetense Games, which is headed by Baris Tarimcioglu. Tarimcioglu developed the game by himself, with only a writer and amateur voice actors contributing to 'De-Void.' The studio made its debut last year with 'Solarix,' a stealth horror title. New 'Farming Simulator 17' Trailer Shows Off Cute Pigs[teaser]There are other adorable farm animals to care of too.[/teaser] Giants Software has released a new trailer for 'Farming Simulator 17,' and it's filled with pigs. The new gameplay video shows off how players will be able to take care of farm animals, which include cows, sheep, chicks, and pigs (which are making their debut in the series). Animals are a key part of farming, and players will have to tend to them in order to be profitable. In order to get cows to produce more milk (or wool from sheep), players will have to make sure they have proper bedding and food. 'Batman - The Telltale Series' Continues This Month With 'Children of Arkham'[teaser]The episode debuts at PAX West.[/teaser] Telltale Games have announced that 'Batman - The Telltale Series' will continue later this month. The second of five episodes, 'Children of Arkham' will release September 20th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. No details were given about what the episode will have in store for the caped crusader, but additional details should become available tomorrow night. Those who are attending PAX West will be able to attend a Crowd Play event on Saturday, September 3rd. During the event, 'Children of Arkham' will make its playable debut as the crowd will impact the on-screen choices. The event will be hosted by Nerdist's Dan Casey, and takes place at 8:30 PM in the Wyvern Theatre. Episode two of 'Batman - The Telltale Series' will release September 20th on PS4, Xbox One and PC. 'Creed' Actor Michael B. Jordan Stars In 'NBA 2K17's Career Mode[teaser]The other Michael Jordan.[/teaser] The star of one of 2015's best films will play a pivotal role in 'NBA 2K17's MyCareer mode. 2K Sports have announced that Michael B. Jordan, who gained critical acclaim as Adonis Creed in 'Creed,' will play a rising NBA star named Justice Young in the game's career mode. Young will help 'NBA 2K17' players get their footing in the league, and will factor into in-game choices that will "directly impact outcomes on-and-off the court." Michael B. Jordan has been a huge fan of 2K's basketball simulator and is excited about starring in the game. "'NBA 2K17 was the perfect platform to connect with a new, unique audience and challenge myself to expand my abilities as an actor," said Jordan. "I’m humbled at the opportunity to help influence [the] franchise." Last year's MyCareer mode featured a story directed by filmmaker Spike Lee called 'Livin' Da Dream.' According to 'NBA 2K's Vice President of Marketing Alfie Brody, last year's mode factored into getting Michael B. Jordan involved. "Working with an actor of Michael’s caliber represents a commitment to giving our fans only the best," said Brody. "[We are] continuing to push ourselves as an entertainment platform." Sold-Out Call of Duty XP Starts Today, Come See the Premiere of 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Multiplayer Mode[teaser]Also, CoD PlayStation VR, Zombies, Nuketown Paintball, CWL Championship and more.[/teaser] Update: There will be a 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' beta. It's coming October 14th. Also announced today, all 16 maps will be remastered for 'Modern Warfare Remastered. The latter six are coming in December. With the arrival of Friday, September 2nd, comes the kick-off of the second ever 'Call of Duty XP.' This massive event is taking over The Forum (and surrounding parking lots) out in Inglewood, California, and Activision has announced that the three-day Call of Duty celebration, fan experience theme park, eSports championship, and hands-on preview of multiple upcoming 'Call of Duty' PS4 content pieces, is sold out. For everyone not attending the theme park like event, there is still plenty to see coming out of the event, including the premiere of 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer mode. That MP premiere will come as part of a global briefing at the start of the event, and will be livestreamed. (See the embed immediately below, between 10am-12pm PT). Watch live video from Call of Duty on www.twitch.tv The 'Infinite Warefare' multiplayer mode will be playable for all attendees at the event, so there ought to be plenty of multiplayer streamed out throughout the weekend. There even is more to see along those same lines as the 'Infinite Warfare' 'Zombies in Spaceland' mode is also playable at the event. Oh, and then there's the 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered' multiplayer. There's even 'Salvation,' which is the 4th DLC for 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III.' Expect to see a nice mix of these filtered out of the event and into the public over the next three days. It will be interesting to see as well if Activision shares any of the Call of Duty PlayStation VR experience, the 'Jackal Assault,' outside of the event. At the very least, there ought to be some new 'Infinite Warfare' campaign footage sent out to the public. For sure, the conclusion of this season's Call of Duty World League will be broadcast as the 32 teams go at it within the legendary confines of the Forum. With a $2 million prize pool ($800,000 for the winning team), this will be a highly competitive event. And like the rest of CoD XP, the name of the platform is PS4. Other Call of Duty XP items that the public at large can expect to spy at, include: Nuketown paintball, set in a life-sized, recreation of the fan-favorite Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer map. Fans watching at home can participate through “Twitch Plays Nuketown” at https://www.twitch.tv/TwitchPlaysNuketown, which allows them to vote through Twitch chat to activate various paint weapons during each match, including a sentry, smoke grenade and claymore and watch the action unfold live Infinite Warfare’s Zombies in Spaceland laser tag, themed in the ‘80s-inspired setting of the new game mode Call of Duty zip line experience, which mirrors the in-game mechanic seen in numerous Call of Duty multiplayer maps Juggernaut Wrestling, a face to face intense cage match where fans will engage in combat while wearing inflatable Juggernaut suits Call of Duty developer panels going behind-the-scenes with game creators (see the panel schedule here) Onsite Call of Duty armory and franchise museum Call of Duty photo booths And finally, a special performance by entertainment icon Snoop Dogg and multi-award-winning rapper Wiz Khalifa on Sunday. 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's 'System Rift' DLC Arrives Later This Month[teaser]First story DLC marks the return of a 'Human Revolution' character.[/teaser] 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' may have just released August 23rd (make sure to read Brian's review if you're still on the fence), but fans of the action role-playing game will be able to go on another adventure exactly one month later. On September 23rd, the game's first story add-on will be released. Called 'System Rift,' the story will reunite protagonist Adam Jensen with 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Frank Pritchard. Voice actor Andreas Apergis will reprise his role as Pritchard, and the story finds Jensen working with his former colleague in order to find out information on the Santeau Group. 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift' will cost $11.99 when it releases September 23rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It's also available as a part of the 'Mankind Divided's 'Season Pass.' 'Tank Troopers' Features Six Player Online Play on 3DS[teaser]A multiplayer-focused Nintendo title.[/teaser] One of the biggest surprises from today's Nintendo Direct was that Nintendo is putting out a tank combat game. Called 'Tank Troopers,' the Nintendo 3DS title will allow players to control superpowered tanks. Paintballs, electric shocks and skills that freeze opponents are all available in this multiplayer shooter. It will support up to six players, and will feature local and online multiplayer. The Nintendo eShop exclusive will release "this holiday season." 'Ever Oasis' Is a New Nintendo Published RPG for 3DS[teaser]Developed by Grezzo.[/teaser] More details have surfaced about Grezzo's 3DS title that was originally unveiled at E3. Called 'Ever Oasis,' the role-playing game is being directed by Koichi Ishii. The dungeon crawler will have players taking on missions, recruiting villagers to join their squad, and crafting new items. 'Ever Oasis' is currently set for a 2017 release, and will feature character design by illustrator Yoshinori Shizuma. His striking artwork was seen in the trailer for the game, which you can view below: Grezzo is best known for being the company behind 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D' and 'Majora's Mask 3D.' A New 'Pikmin' Game Releases on 3DS in 2017[teaser]The new 'Pikmin' adventure is a sidescroller.[/teaser] Nintendo ended their September 1st Nintendo Direct with the announcement of a brand new 'Pikmin' game for Nintendo 3DS. Unlike previous titles, the handheld game will be a sidescrolling adventure. Key mechanics return from previous games, though, as Captain Olimar will toss and throw Pikmin to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. An official title for what is temporarily being called 'Pikmin for Nintendo 3DS' was not given, but Nintendo did reveal that it will release in 2017. 'Mario Sports Superstars' Releases Spring 2017 For 3DS[teaser]Mario will be playing five sports next year.[/teaser] During the September 1st Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that a new Mario sports title was in development. Called 'Mario Sports Superstars,' the Nintendo 3DS game will have Mario and friends competing in five different sports. It's set to release in Spring 2017. The 3DS title will include five sports: soccer, baseball, tennis, golf, and horse racing. Besides horse racing all of those sports are familiar territory for Mario and friends, so it will be interesting to see how different the games will be from their established predecessors.
