'DMC: Devil May Cry' Set for January 15th Release

Capcom initially suggested that this would be coming in 2012, so this falls in line with the other 2013 delays.

Capcom has announced an official release date for their upcoming reboot 'DmC: Devil May Cry,' and like so many others, we're seeing a pushback to January 2013.

Game companies seem to be catching delay fever. It seems that everyone is pulling out of the once-coveted Christmas launch window, which is almost certainly due to the launch of 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II,' which could bring down sales of other games significantly.

Some Paid 'Street Fighter X Tekken' DLC Already on Disc

Tags: Street Fighter X Tekken, DLC, Capcom (all tags)

Theoretically, that's over $100 worth of DLC – realistically it's about $50.

Capcom isn't making a lot of friends with plans for its latest fighting game. 'Street Fighter X Tekken' has been getting some great reviews and fans are digging it, but the plans for downloadable content have some folks up in arms.

The issue is that the content that's being sold as DLC is already on the game disc. This includes, apparently, 12 new characters and two alternate costumes for each of 25 characters. That's a significant amount of content that's already technically in the hands of gamers, even if they can't access it.

The fun headline to throw around is that over $100 worth of DLC is already on the disc, but that's only true if you're the kind of person who hates buying anything in inexpensive bundles. The 100 alternate costumes run a buck a piece, but you can pick them all up at once for $26.

'Onimusha Soul' will be Capcom's First Browser Based Game

The RPG will be out in June, with a smartphone release later down the line.

Browser based games from companies like Zynga have been around for some time and are generally looked down upon by the greater gaming community. Not without good reason of course, many of them are designed to be time and money sinks and don't aspire to provide a rich experience.

No matter what your opinion of the game style is, you can't ignore the amount of money that flows in from games that everyone can play regardless of the quality of their computer. Well, you can ignore it, but Capcom can't - they're bringing their first browser based game to market on June 28th.

The game, 'Onimusha Soul' will have action and puzzle elements and will incorporate RPG elements. It will also have social portions that allow you to work cooperatively or competitively with your friends. Call it a hunch, but we're guessing Jean Reno won't make an appearance.

Rumor: Capcom is Working on 'Darkstalkers 4'

Mon Mar 05, 2012 at 02:30 PM ET
Tags: Darkstalkers, Darkstalkers 4, Mervel vs Capcom, Capcom, Yoshinori Ono, Street Fighter X Tekken, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 (all tags)

The game will apparently be running on the 'Street Fighter X Tekken' engine.

It's been a long time since we've seen a new 'Darkstalkers' game. The last to come out was a PSP launch title and before that we have to reach back to the 20th century. It's a safe bet that quite a few people only know characters like Felicia and Morrigan from games like 'Marvel vs. Capcom 3.'

If the rumors are true, that's all about to change. It's reported that 'Darkstalkers 4' is in the works over at Capcom and that 'Street Fighter' producer Yoshinori Ono is taking the helm. The game would run on a modified version of the 'Street Fighter X Tekken' engine.
