Spoiler Alert: This post contains information of one of the game's big secrets.

Easter eggs in Blizzard Games are a standard, and 'Diablo III' is no exception. The game's secret world has been discovered and it shows the sense of humor that Blizzard has about its products and its fans.

When 'Diablo III' was first shown, there was a bit of an uprising from some very outspoken fans regarding the look of the game. A rainbow in particular sparked the ire of these fans, causing countless threads online about the "toned down" and "whimsical" design.

Blizzard initially responded with an overly cutesy 'Diablo III' shirt, but the secret level placed in the game takes things even further. Titled Whimseyville, the area is full of rainbows, happy clouds, ponies and more.

'Aliens: Colonial Marines' Gets a February 12, 2013 Release Date

We'll have to wait and see if the game will justify a seven year development schedule.

Gearbox Software took the legendary unfinished game 'Duke Nukem Forever' and finished it, but they've had their own 'Duke Nukem' sitting in development for some time now. But there's finally a release date in place and things are looking good.

'Aliens: Colonial Marines,' which was first announced back in 2006, will finally be released on February 12th of 2013. The game's looking slick, and Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford says that the game is true to the original vision and downplays the development time as simply a misunderstanding based on a far-too-early announcement.

He also says that the release date is only for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC – the Wii U version will be announced at a later date.

Crystal Dynamics says that delivering the highest quality possible means that more time is needed.

The much talked about reboot of the Lara Croft games has been delayed from a fall 2012 release to a date somewhere in the first quarter of 2013. 'Tomb Raider' is in need of a bit of work in order to meet the standards of developer Crystal Dynamics.

"Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game," says studio head David Gallagher." He says that the game will be the best the company's put out so far and is building up some big expectations for what we can see with the extra development time

'Prey 2' Delayed Due to Quality Issues – No Date Set

Tags: Prey, Prey 2, Bethesda, Xbox 360, PC (all tags)

The game won't be out in 2012, but it also hasn't been cancelled.

If you never played 'Prey' then you missed out on a very cool early title for the Xbox 360 and PC. It used portals in a really interesting way – pre 'Portal' no less – and was generally considered to be a unique and interesting game. Considering the reception the first one got, there are some high expectations for 'Prey 2.'

Unfortunately, things aren't going well over with the developers, Human Head Studios. Bethesda has announced that the game will be delayed due to quality issues. "The game does not currently meet our quality standards," says a Bethesda rep. "We are determined only to release the AAA game that fans rightfully expect, and are unwilling to compromise our quality standards to meet a release schedule."

'Dark Souls' Announced for PC – 'Demon's Souls' Goes Offline

Thu Apr 12, 2012 at 11:30 AM ET
Tags: Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Atlus, PC, Petitions (all tags)

The PC launch will take place on August 24.

'Dark Souls' was one of this year's unexpected hits and a sort of return to the whole "ruthlessly difficult but fair" design philosophy. Xbox and PlayStation owners were able to get their hands on it, but shortly after release a strongly supported petition went into effect, asking for a PC version.

That petition was heard and, as it turns out, acted upon. PC gamers looking for their fix will be able to get 'Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition' on August 24th. No word yet on mod support.

If you're a 'Demon's Souls' fan that hasn't yet moved on, you may be saddened to know that the online component of the game is shutting down on May 31st. You'll still be able to play the game normally, but you'll miss out on those little interactive experiences that you need to be online to enjoy.
